SIPP mortgage
UK
Assuming there are enough assets in a
pension scheme, the scheme could be used to purchase
commercial property in the UK or abroad. If the market value
of the scheme is not enough to purchase the property
outright, then the pension scheme can borrow up to 50% of
the market value of the scheme i.e. the scheme can purchase
property worth up to 150% of the market value of the
scheme.
The member will have to ensure
that the pension scheme has enough assets in the scheme to pay
for all costs involved in the purchase e.g. legal
fees.
